QR Generator

Create QR codes for links, text, or WiFi — download as PNG, JPG, or SVG.

Runs 100% in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

About this QR generator

A QR code is just text encoded as a grid of squares that any phone camera can read. That text can be a URL, plain words, contact details, or WiFi credentials that connect a guest to your network in one scan.

This generator creates the code entirely in your browser. Whatever you type, including WiFi passwords, gets encoded locally and never sent anywhere.

Text / URL mode covers most everyday uses: menus, payment links, event pages, portfolio links on business cards. WiFi mode builds the special WIFI: payload for you, so guests scan once and join without anyone spelling out a password.

Codes made here are static. They encode your text directly and keep working forever, with no shortener service in the middle that could expire or start redirecting.

PNG, JPG, or SVG: which download should you pick?

PNG suits anything on screen or in an office document. It’s supported everywhere, and the sizes offered here (up to 1024 px) stay sharp on slides and A4 prints.

JPG exists for platforms that insist on it. Some marketplaces, form uploads, and older systems only accept JPEG. SVG is the one to hand a designer or a print shop, since a vector scales to a poster or a banner with crisp edges at any size.

How do you make a code that scans reliably?

Keep the contrast high. Dark squares on a light background, the way this tool renders them, scan best. Give the code breathing room too. The empty margin around it is part of the spec, so don’t crop it tight against other graphics.

Shorter text produces a coarser, more forgiving grid. Encoding a long URL? Print the code larger. A useful rule for print: the code should be at least one tenth of its scanning distance, so a code scanned from one meter away should be about 10 cm wide.
